Hosting

The website and the mailbox run on a rented server of FREAKHOSTING LTD, 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. The server is located in Germany. The United Kingdom is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR).

Server log files

On every request the web server automatically stores: IP address, date and time, requested address, HTTP status code, amount of data transferred, referrer (the page visited before) and the browser identifier (user agent).

I need this data to run the website securely and reliably and to detect errors and attacks. The legal basis is my legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are rotated daily and deleted automatically after 15 days at the latest.

Local storage

This website sets no cookies. In the browser's local storage (localStorage) the software used creates only the entry "nuxt-color-mode". It records that the page is shown in the dark colour scheme; there is no choice to make.

The entry serves only to display the page (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG). It contains no information about you and is not passed on to anyone. You can delete it in your browser at any time.

Contact by e-mail

When you send me an e-mail, I process your e-mail address and the content of your message to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if it concerns a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The e-mails are stored on my mail server at the hoster named above. I delete them once the request is settled and no statutory retention duty applies.

No tracking, no third-party services

This website uses no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising and no social media plugins. Fonts and all other files come from this server; your browser loads nothing from other servers. Links to other websites, such as GitHub or the projects on this page, are plain links: data only goes to the other provider when you click a link.

Encryption

The website is delivered over HTTPS (TLS). Requests over HTTP are redirected to HTTPS, so data between your browser and the server is transferred encrypted.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). An e-mail to the address above is enough.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

Right to object

Where I process data on the basis of my legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you can object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). An e-mail is enough.
